Amberjack Big Spanish Surf Redfish | Gulf Coast Fishing Report | Gulf Shores Orange Beach Pensacola
This Week’s Fishing Game Plan
Inshore Fishing: Work flounder along steep ledges and grass edges with a short Carolina rig, then cover nearby flats and roll-downs for speckled trout and redfish with live bait or a paddle tail.
Surf & Beach Fishing: Set separate rods for redfish and pompano around troughs, holes, and the outside bar, and keep a topwater or small paddle tail ready for bluefish before sunrise.
Nearshore / Pier Fishing: Find bait around the passes, bridge structure, grass-to-sand edges, and the 25- to 40-foot depth range; chum first, then free-line live bait for Spanish mackerel and other pelagics.
Offshore Fishing: Fish legal state-water reefs for red snapper, use lively bait above larger wrecks for amberjack, and consider wahoo trolling or deep dropping only when the weather and run allow it.

SafeBoat — Make the Call Before You Leave the Dock
SafeBoat - Boating Forecast, the boating weather app built around the question every captain has to answer: Should we go, when should we launch, and when should we be back? SafeBoat turns wind, gusts, waves, radar, marine advisories, and timing into a clear Boat Brief with Go/No-Go style guidance, Favorable, Caution, or Hazardous status, a best launch window, return-by timing, confidence level, and the primary risk factor for the day. For Gulf Coast anglers running center consoles, fishing inshore or nearshore, or taking family and friends out between weather windows, SafeBoat helps simplify the decision before everyone is standing at the ramp. Search SafeBoat - Boating Forecast in the Apple App Store and check your Boat Brief before your next trip.
