Protected inshore water is the safest starting point this week, with trout, redfish, and flounder carrying the strongest overall bite. Surf anglers should think whiting and flounder first, with pompano treated as a conditions bonus. Spanish mackerel remain the clearest nearshore action bite. Offshore bottom fishing has the better outlook around beeliners, scamp, and triggerfish when weather allows. Watch storms, surf, rip-current risk, and live marine conditions before committing to the plan.
